About the author.

Meet R J Leonard

Two decades in the field,
one story finally told.

After a successful business career, Bob Leonard has spent more than two decades as a grassroots animal rights activist. He believes lasting progress for animals is achieved by building and empowering community-based, multi-issue advocacy groups.

Through his work organizing and supporting coalitions at the local, regional, and national levels, Leonard has contributed to efforts that have saved thousands of animals.

His affiliations include unpaid leadership roles with Delaware Action for Animals, Delaware Wetland Volunteers, GeesePeace in Delaware, the Mid-Atlantic Animal Rights Coalition, Animal Rights and Vegan Advocacy in Palm Beach County, and Florida Wildlife Advocates.

He lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, with his canine companion, Darwin.
